Selling on Consignment
We are always looking for quality and unique items to flavor and season our racks and shelves. If you would like the opportunity to share your style with our customers, here is how you can do it:
Consigning at My Sisters’ Closet
My Sisters’ Closet accepts up to 10 items or less without an appointment Tuedsay through Friday from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm. If you have a larger quantity and would like to schedule an appointment, please call (651) 222-2819.
Bring your items in CLEAN, PRESSED, and ON HANGERS (you will get your hangers back). We cannot stress this enough: Deodorant marks, wrinkles, cuff and collar dirt and any other stains heavily decrease your chances of selling your items.
We take items SEASONALLY, so if you want an item to sell, please bring it in during the appropriate season. Tank tops for summer, sweaters for fall/winter, etc.
We Love Our Style!
As we take both current and vintage clothing, we must focus on what sells in our store. Trends come and go. We are always evolving, however, we like to have something for everyone. In other words, we take the things that we feel make us, well, us. Please allow us to choose.
The Contract:
When we accept items for consignment we agree to keep them on the floor for a period of 90 days. Items are subject to markdowns up to 20% after 21 days and 50% after 60 days. Items are also subject to periodic sales and promotions.
When you become a consignor you will be given 45% of the selling price in cash. You will be responsible for keeping track of your own items and account balances. We will not contact you. You can request a check to be mailed if it is over $20.00, otherwise monies can be paid out in the store, or used as credit.
At the end of your contract you may promptly retrieve your items, or they will become the property of My Sisters’ Closet and may be donated.
We will do our best to keep your items safe, but we are not responsible for loss or damage to your items for any reason including theft or fire.
